Cooking with Oils
So Most people love to cook, right? Cooking can inspire your creative side for sure. Well I want to open up your thoughts to a new way of cooking, by using Young Livings Vitality line of oils. You see Young Living has its own wonderful line of ingestible oils. And learning to cook with these oils can really spice things up in your kitchen, with wonderful aromatic flavors and yummy nutritional oils. Using Vitality oils you can add fun potent flavor and not alter the consistency or color of what you are cooking. And baking with them, well lets just say it is way better then using an extract. Also Vitality oils don't expire, if you store them properly they will last longer then you will. Unlike dried spices or extracts. When cooking REMEMBER that a vitality oil is very concentrated. So you only need a toothpick dip or a few drops depending what you need it in. (Especially oils like clove or oregano that maybe a hotter oil, you may want just a toothpick swirl of) Also always use, Glass or Stainless steel to cook with. PLEASE IF YOUR KIDS ARE COOKING WITH YOU, KEEP THE OILS OUT OF LITTLE FINGERS, SO THEY DON'T ACCIDENTALLY PUT TO MUCH IN OR ON THEMSELVES. Great Vitality oils to start with in your New Cooking Experience with them. LEMON VITALITY Add to pies that would use lemon extract or lemon flavoring, also glazes are wonderful with this oil. It is also great in Chicken and fish recipes. Hummus, go ahead just let your imaginations run wild. CLOVE VITALITY Pies, breads, cakes, muffins, tea CINNAMON BARK VITALITY OHHH Warm Chocolate Cake, Coffee, tea, sweet potato and or pie, Also apple anything. ORANGE VITALITY Chocolate, brownies, candy, frosting, glazes, cookies, cakes etc. GINGER VITALITY Pumpkin pie, apple pie, GINGER cookies, Ginger bread NUTMEG VITALITY Pumpkin pie, muffins, and other pies or baked goods that use nutmeg, french toast, try this oils instead. PEPPERMINT VITALITY YUM, ok COCOA and peppermint are so good, Brownies, fudge, Peppermint patties, anything chocolate, candy, peppermint bark. Add to your tea and create a very cooling sensation that will really open up your sinuses. LIME VITALITY Guacamole, Lime Rice (so good) Hummus, Cookies, pies LAVENDER VITALITY Cookies, Cakes (look below for a great recipe) Lemonade, ice cream, glaze, believe it or Not this oil is great in these things. THIEVES VITALITY Put in your cocoa, chia, tea, (makes a great chia, by adding to warm milk and honey) This is just a sample to get you started, but look at young livings line of these wonderful digestible oils and you will see for yourself the great and many uses you too can think of in order to use them. Be sure to CONVERT the oil as it it super concentrated, you will use a drop or two compared to a tsp of cinnamon powder or something, or like a said earlier a toothpick in some cases is enough flavor. Test for your self, you can always add more, but you can't take it away. Also dilute the oils in a fat, like Olive oil or butter, to help disperse the vitality oil in the recipe. You can also use a syrup or honey. Finally for Hot recipes, wait until the end of the process before adding the Vitality oil. This will keep the oil volatile. And will keep the oil from dissipating to quickly in the high heat. Don't fret if you are baking, you may loose some of the properties in the oil, but not to worry, you will not loose any of the wonderful flavor. I want to share with you 2 great recipes that I just love; Peppermint Cocoa Mix (this decadent Cocoa is so yummy and warms the sole) You will need; 1 cup of dark chocolate drops or chips 1 cup of organic sugar 1/8 tsp. himalayan salt 2/3 dark organic cacao 1/2 cup milk powder (whole if you can find it, makes it a bit more rich) and 1-2 drop per cup of Peppermint Vitality oil Makes 10 servings Directions; Place drops, sugar, salt, cacao, and milk powder in a food processor and mix until finely chopped and blended together. Add eggs into butter mix, one at time to incorporate. In small bowl combine flour, soda, and salt, together. Now alternate adding flour and buttermilk into butter mixture. Stir in vanilla, Lemon Vitality and Lavender Vitlaity. Cook at 325* for 33-36 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cake to cool in pan a few minutes before removing, then let cool completely before glazing. To make glaze, add powder sugar, buttermilk and remaining oils and beat until thoroughly mixed and glaze can be easily poured but not to wet. Drizzle over cooled cake and sprinkle with some purple sugar if desired. It makes a pretty effect. This cake is so incredibly yummy! You need to try for yourself. Have a blessed time Cooking!
